-Caveat Lector- I have received the prodigy net links to your briefcase and am downloading the files as I write this (and thanks for sending these).  Of those I have so far perused, there is no smoking gun document.    The 950306Morgan documents showing the two Status-Credit-Bank letters are interesting.  However, based on past personal experience dealing with Russian banks during the relevant time period mentioned, I would ask what the world ranking of this bank was?  Was it fully backed by the Soviet Government, making it a de facto Soviet State bank, or was it one of the hundreds/thousands of small private banks that sprung up around this period?  Assuming the latter is the case, I believe it is more than dubious that the bank had sufficient performance clout for any major Western bank like IndoSuez, London, to engage in a contract with it for 140 billion Roubles?    Would you care to respond to this?   Incidentally, I personally know the bank officer referenced at Indosuez, London, and spoke with him earlier this year on related matters.  I also personally know his CEO and during a boardroom meeting discussed the Rouble transaction with him.  He freely showed me faxed documents he had received offering this sum of roubles.  This conversation took place about four or five years ago.  He said the transaction was "funny money" and they didn't proceed with it.  I also had another meeting with him earlier this year on similar and related matters.   David ----- Original Message ----- From: Ambassador Leo E Wanta To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 05, 2002 2:27 PM Subject: Re: [CIA-DRUGS] Yahoo!
