_MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY_



            Lockheed Martin, Maritime Sensors and Systems, P.O. Box 1027,
Moorestown, NJ 08057 is being awarded a $812,565,233.00
Cost-Plus-Award/Incentive-Fee (CPA/IF) contract for the continued development of the
Block 2004 Aegis Weapon System (AWS) portion of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense
(BMD) System, along with engineering analysis in support of the definition of future
block capabilities.  The contract includes the development and integration of the
AWS upgrades to support BMDS engagement sequences, vertical launch system upgrades,
command and control system upgrades, Aegis BMD Signal Processor efforts, flight test
support, and development of unique equipment and devices required to support Aegis
BMD baseline upgrades, demonstrations and experiments.  The work will be performed
in Moorestown, NJ and is expected to be complete by 31 December 2006.  None of the
funds will expire at the end of the fiscal year.  This contract was not
competitively awarded.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC is the
contracting activity (N00024-03-C-6110).



_AIR FORCE_



            Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corp., Space Technology,
Redondo, Beach Calif., is being awarded a $60,230,205 contract modification to
incorporate an equitable adjustment due to late delivery of government furnished
property of the 1394a chipsets and the transfer of responsibility for the
development, space qualification and delivery of the 1394a high speed firewire data
bus/chipsets for the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite
System to Northrop Grumman Space Technology from the Integrated Program Office.
Northrop Grumman will perform this effort at Northrop Grumman Space and Mission
Systems Corp., Redondo Beach Calif. (55%) and at ITT Industries,
Aerospace/Communications Division, Fort Wayne, Ind. (29%).  At this time, no funds
have been obligated.  This work will be complete November 2015.  The National
Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Integrated Program Office,
Silver Spring Md., is the contracting activity (04701-02-C-0502, P00023).
