9.23.99 Native American Sacred Spots/ Federal Malfeasance Re: Tribes We're forwarding below an email received from good buddy Cordley in Colorado. Cordley has some hard-earned insights to offer on the extent to which Native Americans are STILL getting screwed over by federal bureaucracies in general, as well as being specifically targeted for harassment and infiltration by the likes of the FBI in attempts instigate corruption, dissension and violence; being targeted by intelligence/military agencies seeking to use reservations for covert projects--as these lands are sovereign nations for the most part not subject to federal laws; being otherwise targeted in terms of having sacred lands and power spots snatched away by spooky military/intelligence agencies seeking to gain possession of such locations as sites for (often esoteric, highly advanced) research and experimentation. One example of the latter situation is evidenced by the fate of the Cahto tribe in Northern California. A small tribe comprised of little more than a couple of hundred members, as recently as the mid-1960s they were forced by federal Bureau Of Indian Affairs goons to move from their reservation on Cahto Mountain, on land believed to be a power spot and very sacred to the tribe. The tribe was relocated to some hard-packed scrub land directly adjacent to a Mendocino country dump which was a massive toxic waste site (now closed by court order). And to what uses have feds put the Cahto's sacred land on the mountain? Well, the TOP of Cahto Peak has turned into an gargantuan antenna farm bristling with unusual, peculiar-looking transmitters and antennas of all kinds, as well as some more common radio towers and satellite-dish receivers. Roads leading to the impenetrably-fenced upper regions of the mountain are all blocked off with signs warning against trespassing into the area posted all round. "Property of the U.S. Government". Unnatural-looking cloud formations seem to generate often above this peak, which are then often dosed with contrails from the constant, numerous military flights in the area (however, there's no KNOWN base of any kind within 100 miles or so!!) Peculiar low-frequency hums and vibrations emanate frequently throughout the hills and valleys surrounding Cahto Mountain. And the tribe? Forced to give up their home, their way of life and sacred land and to live at poverty levels "in town", the tribe has been beset by significant social problems in recent years, in particular (of course) being targeted by intelligence-connected criminals and gangsters involved in manufacturing/dealing hard drugs. Word is that these interests are attempting to infiltrate the leadership of the tribe. Additionally, the massive, unconscionable and irreversible plundering of National Forest wildlands, as noted in our article of 9.2.99, can likewise be seen as a tremendous blow, culturally and spiritually, to the native inhabitants of North America and their cultural history as human beings.
