You are ridiculous! You are arguing that a thief has the right to keep
his stolen goods because possession is 9/10ths of the law.
The canal belongs to the Panamanians. It runs through the middle of
their
country. The were forced to sign that stupid treaty. Who in their
right
mind would sign away a vital strategic and economic piece of real
estate
" in perpetuity " unless Godfather America made them an offer they
couldn't
refuse.
I don't understand why the the CFR wanted to give back the canal. If
any
body knows, pray tell.
The invasion of Panama was to set up the retaking of the Canal. We
will
create an excuse to send the military there. They will claim that
Panama
does not have any institution strong enough to defend the canal, so
we'll
just have to do it.
The treaty reverts back to Panama at the end of the year.
