Have you seriously considered what type of information this device, or
organ, is supposed to suppress? Could it be that the earth and its
inhabitants are *almost* destroyed every twenty-thousand years or so in the
deliberate attempt, by outside forces, to "harvest" human beings for the
later consumption of a superior race? Could it be that the sole purpose for
our existence is to be some sort of "cattle" for the gods, and that this is
the "information" to which we have been blocked? Ever see Life Force?

I am only being HALF sarcastic. This is a theory that I have toyed with for
years.
