Re: [CTRL] Kansas Science Standards Controversy
-Caveat Lector- The KS board of Ed added creationism to KS school curriculum recommendations (after a lengthy debate). It did not eliminate darwin and the evolution stuff ... both will be taught - side by side. It is very interesting to see the "mainstream" media's response! The best example was NBC going into total panic yesterday, saying all of the KS "science teachers" will no longer have a job! It is now very apparent that creationism scares the hell out the media (and ruling elite) ... they don't want both concepts taught - just evolution only. And it has nothing to do with religious freedom (or freedom from religion). It's sort of like "tolerance" we hear about so much in the media these days ... you must tolerate us and our ideas, but we will not tolerate you and your ideas. -Brian in WINDY western KS DECLARATION DISCLAIMER == CTRL is a discussion and informational exchange list. There is NO way to test the preposterous notions espoused by the creationists, it's their way...period. Scientific method is out, the bible is in...it's assinine! This does a disservice to the youth of Kansas, it's outrageous and pitiful, and it is absolutly about religion-Creationism is religious mythology and nothing more. Bill.
