Excellent, I backed the three files modified by the changeset you bisected
to and now my Thinkpad T61p runs native Xorg just fine with the expected
acceleration. I thought I might have other problems, as drm_pci.c went from
the present 1.16 back to 1.15, but apparently so far it works. Thanks for

That probably is the case - I tried live system on a desktop with a Quadro
600 card and it works just fine. It seems something is bothering the
nouveau driver in the older cards.

The card is recent enough to be PCIe rather than PCI/AGP/PCI-X. I

I finally found some time to revive one of my old laptops with NetBSD after
some service testing other stuff. IT is a ThinkPAD T61p with NVidia
graphics. I had a live system image prepared a few months ago which I could
use to compile -current from scratch and subsequently sysupdate. This was
