Hello,
Is common for installation process to die? On Win XP Pro ver. 2002
SP2, I run setup.exe. Eventually it hangs... this time Cygwin Setup
dialog showing Progress 19% of xorg-x11-bin-dlls-6.8.99.901-1.tar.bz2,
where it appears to hang.
Is there simple way to recover and pickup where left off?

In all fairness to Dave Korn, the subject page should be updated to remove
gcc from Gerrit Haase's list of packages. Gcc is a pretty important
package and one that might provoke such a donation.

When I've had this problem, it's been a permission issue. If you use
wget or some other cygwin tool to download the snapshot, then it will
not set the exec permissions. But when you copy a file using explorer,
it will set the exec permissions.

If you made a donation, it wasn't to me. If the person who received
the donation contacts me outside of this mailing list, to verify, I'll
see what I can do.

In case you didn't know, if you some settings most of the time, you
can specify them in ~/.Xdefaults (even if you're not running X). For
