Yup, sorry, should be straightforward, but I took an extra evening
work lately so my free-time slots are quite scarce ;-)
Also rsync is crying for an upgrade, but judging from the rsync

There is a gfortran build for cygwin, which is readily available
on the Web, but --- please correct me if I'm mistaken --- gfortran
is not yet a cygwin package. Are there pany plans to make it one?
Cygwin still comes with g77, but Gnu has stopped supporting that.

Hello
I've just given Sparse [1] a try on Cygwin and compiling it went without
any hassle. However, trying it on a very simple example (which includes
stdio.h) seems to fail in 'ieeefp.h' due to 'Endianess not declared!!'
I assume this is due to some #define's not being set properly. In
Hey,
I assume this is due to some #define's not being set properly. In order
to track down these needed #defines I used the GCC specification info
(-dumpspecs) and I was able to find these defines: -D__CYGWIN32__
-D__CYGWIN__ -Dunix -D__unix__ -D__unix. However that still doesn't seem
enough.

Hi,
I have a (non cygwin) application that calls several bash scripts in
response to user input, but it really has problems with performance.
Sometimes it takes over 10 seconds for the (simple 3-4 lines) scripts

Going to google in the first place was wrong. Cygwin comes with
documentation, you only had to look as far as your own hard drive!

Dear Cygwin
I apologize if this issue has been posted but I searched and could not find
a solution.
I am using a software package called FSL from fmrib.ox.ac.uk. It is made to
run within cygwin on windows. It uses tcl/tk for its gui, and a problem
occurs with the GUI only with cygwin1.dll
