Hi,
I got magic 7.1 installed and trying to run it about
10 times only got the magic window to open once.
After that, I can't open it at all. The full-screen
window opens, the app window is on the mouse cusor,
but when I place it, it vanishes.
Does anyone know why windows vanish like that?
can start Cygwin/XFree86 in fullscreen mode at 8 bits per pixel like so:
XWin -fullscreen -depth 8

I don't have /etc/hosts, either; what I did do was modify startxwin.bat
(and startxwin.sh) to set DISPLAY to :0.0 - try that.
