Hi,
In another thread (that I did not want to hijack) it was mentioned that you
can downgrade (parts of) your cygwin installation by selecting
previous/older versions of things.
In the cygwin installer, I can select (a few) older versions of the
components by clicking on the drop down menu next

Hrm.
That's odd. I just installed MSYS2 and followed the instructions provided
in the QEMU wiki for MSYS2, and all preparatory steps of running
msys2/pacman/git/configure (only excluding the actual 'make' for
compilation) work as expected. There must be a difference between our
Hi,
I have no personal experience with this, but when I take a look at the QEMU
wiki, it seems that :

Builds with cygwin are not really supported.

Hi,
When I run XLaunch and choose single window (or use the KDE 'Plasma'
shortcut), I get a black window (or grey, when also supplying '-retro'),
but I am not getting a desktop like when I do when I run KDE on Linux (KDE
taskbar/menu, pop-up menu with right-click on background, etc.). Is there a
