The X fonts in the package font-misc-misc is out-of-era, from ASCII times,
so that e.g. if you start xterm -fn 9x18 you wouldn't even see a Euro sign.
Please replace them with their Unicode versions from
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs-fonts.html

My current solution is to just mount it in fstab with the following line:
c:/Users /home ntfs binary,posix=0,nouser
Alternatively, you can set HOME in your
Windows environment to point to the directory you want as your home.

After the update, I can't start Emacs from the icon anymore. The shortcut
