Dear cygwin-apps,
I was notified about a postinstall error in the lyx 1.6.6 package that
I prepared about two years ago. I have retired from the lyx

Please let me know if it works as expected because the whole process
seems to be a bit different from two years ago.
Cheers,

Please update the existing LyX 1.4.5 to 1.6.6 using the links below.
This version of LyX relies on qt4 so setup.hint has been updated.

Uploaded. Could you have a look over your setup.hint file? For instance,
It mentions a dependency to libintl, but it uses the latest libintl8.
I had a look at setup.hint and all other dependencies are fine. Please
update setup.hint for me, or upload the attached file.
Thanks.

Version 1.4.3-4 of lyx has been uploaded.
In case you are wondering what LyX is, here is what
http://www.lyx.org/ has to say on the subject:
LyX is a document processor that encourages an approach to writing

Dear list,
I have fixed the minor packaging problems found out by Dr. Zell so I
assume that I have got his GTG vote.
Please upload lyx-1.4.3-4 from

I just checked the binary package:
o /usr/doc should be /usr/share/doc
o There is a lyx-1.4.3-1.README in the source package, but it's named
lyx1.4.3-1.README in the binary package. I would rename that to be
consistent with the rest of the packages.
Building from source is fine. GTG
Dear list,
I am interested in becoming the package maintainer of the cygwin port
of lyx (http://www.lyx.org/). Lyx is a latex based word processor. It
is easy to use and has many advanced features like change-tracking.
Lyx has been part of some major linux distributions like debian,
gentoo suse
The only requirement is that
the packages should be buildable with things that are already in the
Cygwin distribution. Since, AFAIK, scons isn't yet, you might want to ITP
scons before you ITP lyx.
This is not a problem since scons is python-based so no additional
build process is necessary.
