email to the owner of the defunct email address, which will just solicit
another no longer works here type auto-response and then disappear
without trace?

To the best of my knowledge the sftp executable doesnt support tab
completion.

In the case of sftp, It would make more sense that the client be the one to support it.
However, if the user never has to get a directory listing, and/or the directory is
cluttered with many files, the client would be doing a lot of work for nothing. I

I searched the mail archives for auto tab complete and tab completion and didn't
find any results.
Please let me know the dependencies for this feature if it has it.
