GeoTIFF represents an effort by over 160 different remote sensing, GIS, cartographic, and surveying related companies and organizations to establish a TIFF based interchange format for georeferenced raster imagery. This package provides a library and utilities for manipulating images in this format.
This is a routine update. [[ compiled using gcc-3.4.4-999 ]] This is the first release specific for cygwin-1.7; the only differences between this package and the simultaneously-released libgeotiff-1.2.5a-1 for cygwin-1.5 are documentation related (the README references cygport-0.9.5 and cygwin-1.7.0-43, and the /usr/share/doc/ layout is influenced by the cygport changes between 0.4.x and 0.9.x). CHANGES (since 1.2.3a-1) ======================== o Fork for cygwin-1.7 development o Update to latest upstream release (actually svn as of 20090312) o Modified to work with stock cygport-0.9.5 o A little less code re-organization than before, now that upstream has adopted autotools. o Rebuilt against libproj1 o Updated hint files to reflect new packaging (libproj1, zlib0) -- Charles Wilson volunteer libgeotiff maintainer for cygwin ==================================================================== To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
