setup.exe (HEAD) will now grab setup.bz2 in preference to setup.ini, with a fallback to setup.ini. I've done this to aid modem users, and multi-site users. I compressed a test copy to the cygwin ftp site (I hope that was an ok thing to do Chris), and it should it mirrors soon. The savings are

I just noticed that the UCX compression breaks upset's ability to detect the setup.exe version. So, it's still being reported as 2.194.2.26 in setup.ini. Is there any way to make UCX not compress the embedded version string? cgf
