Hi, something happened when I tried to run texteroids.

I can't get the -xkbmap parameter to work. I want to use it to

some reason). I though that adding -xkbmap is

Ummm,
Excuse me but you are wrong. If you care to read
http://www.xfree86.org/4.1.0/RELNOTES2.html you will notice the line that
says:
-initial DPS extension support
If you still doubt me, then check out the xfree cvs repository:

Excuse me, but you are wrong
The RELNOTES2 is actually incorrect. There is no extension. That
means server side support. There is however client side support.
What I mean by server extension, is when you do 'xdpyinfo' and
it lists the extensions. DPS is not one of those extensions.
Ok,
I forgot the fact that building libdps depends on strict motif or gtk
libs, the former not being open source (nor legally available for
windows) and the latter still being ported to cygwin by Harold. I
apologize for the minor confusion, as I was still thinking in linux
mode. For the
Juliusz,
Is what Alan saying true? Are there no plans to have a server side DPS
extension officially in the xfree distribution? I noticed from the cvs
activity that the libraries are still being maintained...
Cheers,

libdps in the XFree86 CVS does not depend on strict motif at all,
in fact it has no dependencies on motif, lesstif or anything 'tif.
It all builds straight from the CVS - all open source.
There is no DPS extension in XFree86 CVS either. Like I said the 4.1.0
RELNOTES are wrong. Although,
Nicholas,
There currently exists NO server side support in the current XFree86
CVS. Juliusz may have every intention of moving the code from
dps.sourceforge.net into the baseline XFree86 CVS at some point
in the future. But currently it ain't there. Probably because,

Alan,
I realize this point, but in light of recent debate, I wanted to submit an

Diego,
Don't send 57 KB (or whatever) attachments to the Cygwin/XFree86 mailing

receive such huge emails. It also puts an unnecessary burden on the mailing

Should lower the message size limit here? I think it's currently 100K.

Chris,
Hmm... when did you drop the message size limit to 100 KB? This messages
from 2002/04/06 has a roughly 200 KB attachment:

I see no legitimate messages
Heh. Actually I set it to 100K after the referenced message came in.
100K is standard for some of the other mailing lists on sourceware.org.
I can't think of a good reason for having that large a message size in
a discussion list, though.

Oops.
Cool.
Thanks,
