yes it was dog slow ... (300ms latency i think...)

Yes, it uses Motif. There is (was) always a version linked staticly and
one linked dynamic

trip... I was simply giving examples Regardless, there are PLENTY of
round-trip messages in Netscape. (xmond will show them.)
