I'm attempting to build Scigraphica for cygwin/xfree86, and on running the
configure script it is bombing out complaining of not being able to find the
xml-config file. I have checked my setup and the xml libraries are
installed. Any ideas?

libxml does seem to be installed, cygcheck -v -r -s shows
libxml2 2.5.7-1
From what I can gather, Scigraphica requires the gnome xml libraries, though
I could be mistaken there.
cygcheck -v -r -s attached.

ArcMap. The application loads fine but the images within it don't map

Couldnt you use cygnome team gtk+ packages instead ?
