I am trying to run the X server on my cygwin machine, and the clients on
my FreeBSD 4.7 box. As of today, to start the session I need to:
1. type startx
2. type xhost + 192.168.0.18
3. right-click, exit.
4. open ssh session, set display to 192.168.0.1, and run startkde.

You are accidentally trying to combine the steps of the two independent
connection methods:
1) telnet
2) ssh
Since you have ssh setup, I suggest that you use ssh to tunnel your X
connections, with the following command line:
ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED]

You should check that you do not have a firewall
running. I had the same problem and it was due to my
firewall: it was refusing
Try using startxwin.sh or startxwin.sh (as recommended in the
Xfree86/Cygwin howto).

across long distances... even if there is a lot of bandwidth... it's a latency

around somewhere, maybe you should check why

I have implemented a different aproach about
copying clipboard contents between XFree86 and Windows based on
the original xwinclip.
It's less automatic but allows the user to control when to copy.
There is a windows trayicon with a menu to copy from Windows
or from X11. As it is
