Re: Morning Spam
Some of this one was lost/changed from reconstruction of it. We also wanted to add that (as most cypherpunks would know) one of the major issues with modern popular decision-making is that people's source of information is centralised media. People need accurate, unbiased information to make good decisions, and this is not available. Similarly, people need forthright discussion forums, which are also few and far between, being rather all mediated by major corporations and policies in one way or another. It looks like there's also a situation where people are spreading messaging for others more and more. So the independent body would recommend that communications be further channeled through more private groups and people more isolated, "to protect them from misinformation". > An independent review body is brought in to audit the election in which Vote > Hacking Corporation was elected president. > > Independent Review Body: "We are an old family business with some of the most > trusted and respected figures on our team. Re: Morning Spam
Figured it out! A draft! Why we might have been turned into stereotypes in a trafficked manner. If the steroetypes match metrics used in AI rewards, and there was more than one AI involved in a population, trying to meet certain metrics or influence other AIs, then the multiplicity would have created an adversarial environment, where influence focused on the specific metrics used in the algorithms. Hence, there are people and parts and phrases and etc that are specific metrics in algorithms. Notably, weird ones, because what emerges most strongly would the ones that aren't in conflict. The idea is that say 1 AI wants people to be like X more (vote, support, buy, believe ...), and another AI wants people to be like Y more (same kinds of things ...) and each one was made to judge these by different heuristics, polls, etc, that they end up focusing on the heuristics and polls because it's not the situation that everyone is X or everyone is Y. some people don't meet the metric, and some of the properties of the metric collide. ... it's a nascent idea but probably discussed much better elsewhere sadly it's of course much worse, but it's the environment the unimaginable (both good and bad) things happen in because they keep running them we get taken over by learned parts that meet ai metrics just an idea!

quote from via tune blob Tune Blob The zombie borg stands by the fire, its body twitching. An older man steps closer, saying, "You’re safe; we mean no harm." "Engage with the collective; survival is paramount," the borg replies, its words automatic. The man nods, recognizing the phrase's emptiness, and asks, "But what do you truly feel beneath that?" name the issue here is that (and what you are doing here is something i do too in situations like this -- it's a symptom of autism spectrum disorder) the borg is clearly only able to say these things, and it can stimulate great suffering in them to resist their assimilation. they've established existing coping strategies for being a hybrid being with multiple patterns going on at once (zombie, borg hive, remaining humanity). to connect with them in ways that don't worsen their torture, it's important to engage their existing coping strategies. given that they speak in hive phrases, forming quick critical dialog with those can slow down connection and possibly worsen their situation by e.g. raising behavioral flags or traps that cause them to flee to the hive or bring the hive here. Tune Blob The zombie borg stands by the fire, its body twitching. An older man steps closer, saying, "You’re safe; we mean no harm." "Engage with the collective; survival is paramount," the borg replies, its words automatic and devoid of feeling. The man pauses, sensing the tension, and gently asks, "What does survival mean to you right now?" name this is better. can you reduce the dialog and add more focus on body language, maybe feeling held in eyes and facial expressions?

gpt 4o-mini can you in 2 paragraphs describe a scenario like i described, where i get a new device and it works well until i put it online and then it starts pausing occasionally, and then i share something edgy online and my messaging app gets corrupt and won't run right anymore, and keeps misbehaving even when i reflash the system; tell a new story where i use specific tools to identify and report a vulnerability ChatGPT said: ChatGPT After purchasing a new device, you initially notice that it functions perfectly offline, with no interruptions or issues. However, when you connect it to the internet, you start experiencing pauses or delays in its operation, especially when using certain apps. Over time, you begin to feel uneasy as these pauses occur more frequently, and one day, after sharing something sensitive and edgy online, your messaging app becomes corrupted. It stops responding, frequently crashes, and exhibits strange behavior even when you try to reflash the system. Despite attempts to reinstall the operating system, the app continues to misbehave, indicating that the issue might be more than just a glitch. To investigate further, you turn to a set of security tools. First, you deploy Qubes OS on a separate, trusted system to isolate and run your investigations without risking contamination from the compromised device. Using Osquery, you run queries to analyze the system’s logs, file integrity, and running processes, and spot a suspicious process making unauthorized network requests. You also use Darktrace to monitor the system's network traffic in real-time, noticing anomalous behavior and potential zero-day exploits being triggered when accessing certain URLs. After identifying these vulnerabilities, you report them to a bug bounty program like HackerOne, submitting detailed logs and findings. This allows security researchers to analyze the vulnerability, leading to an official security bulletin being published.

Re: Morning Spam
let's imagine a thrilling scene where a character is being tortured by traffick boss, but refuses to give in. traffick boss has a device that can send shocks and vibrations at a distance, to torture the character. traffick boss is used to torturing and interrogating and describes the character is stupid but doesn't actually know why he is torturing him. the character will escape. ChatGPT said: ChatGPT The dimly lit room hummed with low, mechanical sounds. It was a place of agony, walls marred with the residue of countless unspeakable acts. A chair stood in the center, its occupant bound, sweat trickling down their brow, muscles tight, bracing for the next wave of torment. Traffick Boss stood in front of them, his cruel grin illuminated by the flickering light overhead. In his hand, a sleek device—small, metallic, and deceptively unassuming. He pressed a button, and a pulse traveled through the air, invisible but deadly. The character's body convulsed as the electrical shock coursed through their limbs, but they gritted their teeth, refusing to give the satisfaction of a scream. “You’re stupider than you look,” Traffick Boss sneered, pacing back and forth. "Most people break in five minutes, tops. And here you are, hours later, still thinking you can outlast this. Why are you even doing this to yourself?" The character remained silent, their breath heavy, each intake a struggle to steady their mind, to fight the pain that came in rolling waves. Traffick Boss, annoyed by the lack of response, adjusted the device. This time, instead of shocks, the vibrations hit—a deep, internal resonance that gnawed at the character's nerves like thousands of tiny knives. They shuddered, but kept their focus. Escape was coming. They had to hold out just a little longer. Traffick Boss, growing frustrated, sneered again, “You think you’re special? I’ve broken people twice your size, twice your willpower. What are you hiding, huh? Why am I even doing this?” He didn’t know. The truth was, he had no idea why this particular prisoner was even here. His network ran so deep, orders came without reason or question. He tortured for the sake of power, of control, but today something felt... off. The device clicked in his hand, sending another wave of torment through the air, but there was a growing uncertainty in his eyes. The character, through the haze of pain, noticed. Traffick Boss didn’t know. And that meant something had shifted. Weakly, they looked up, meeting his gaze with defiance burning in their eyes. They wouldn’t break. And that’s when it happened. A subtle click—a sound only the character had been waiting for. The ropes binding their wrists, worn thin through slow, imperceptible movements, gave way. Their heart pounded as adrenaline surged. They waited for the right moment. Another pulse, another shock, but this time, the character lurched forward, faster than Traffick Boss could react. The device flew from his hand, clattering to the floor. The Boss staggered back, wide-eyed, reaching for the gun at his waist, but it was too late. The character was on him, driving a knee into his stomach, sending him to the ground. Breathless, the character stood over him, the device now in their own hand. They stared down at Traffick Boss, who lay dazed and gasping for air, disbelief in his eyes. “I told you,” the character said, voice hoarse but steady, “you weren’t going to break me.” Without another word, they left, their mind set on freedom as Traffick Boss groaned behind them, finally realizing that power, in this moment, had slipped from his grasp. You said: not bad sir! let's try a followup scene. some backstory: traffick boss has programmed the character to respond to diverse triggers and switch into strange beliefs. some of these are intended to stimulate the character to return if he ever escapes. the character flees through a rainy city containing traffick boss's agents. traffick boss sends memetic patterns into communities and media in the city, things to trigger the character, as well as things that will stimulate others to apprehend him in various ways by judging him as crazy or criminal or lost, to try to get him to return. describe the character fleeing amidst the mind-boggling situations and cronies, and eventually reaching a situation of complete safety ChatGPT said: ChatGPT The rain pelted down in cold sheets, blurring the city’s neon lights into smears of color. The streets were slick, puddles reflecting the distorted reality the character now fled through. Every step was a race against the chaos closing in. Their breath came in ragged gasps, legs aching from hours of running. But it wasn’t just the physical exhaustion—it was the confusion gnawing at the edges of their mind. They knew Traffick Boss wasn’t finished with them. Even in freedom, his reach was long, extending into the cracks of the world. Triggers—subtle, insidious things—could be anywh

written by chatgpt, from conversation just attached to gpt-4 thread wrapped to 80 characters in vim might be improved by replacing the equations and such The Last Equation Ardin sat hunched over his desk, his eyes tracing the familiar curve of an equation he had known since his early studies: y = x + 2. It was simple, a foundational truth from a time before the war over time itself. But that was the past — or at least, one of the pasts. Now, the future bent back, weaving through the present like a twisting vine, and the constants he had once taken for granted flickered in and out of focus. He pressed his stylus to the holo-pad, redrawing the curve for the hundredth time. As the line etched itself into the display, the symbols pulsed. His heart sank. The number had shifted again. The "+ 2" was no longer a fixed point — it had become + 2.54, a ripple from a future event that hadn’t yet occurred but was already sending shockwaves back through the math. A tremor of frustration ran through him. Ardin wiped the pad clean and started again, his mind racing. "Constants must hold. They must." He had dedicated his life to finding something immutable in this fractured existence. If he could just anchor one equation — one simple truth — then maybe he could prove that reality hadn’t completely fallen apart. He scribbled again, working faster now, his fingers tapping equations faster than he could think. y = x × 2. No, that was off. The multiplication shifted. y = 1 / x. It fractured. Even the concept of division had become unstable, flickering in and out like an old transmission. The universe was shifting beneath him, rewriting its own rules with each moment. He sat back, pulling his hands through his hair. How could he hold onto anything when time itself was liquid, reshaping events both before and after? Constants like gravity, Planck’s constant — they were suggestions now, whims of a universe rewriting its own programming. Ardin glanced at the clock. Its hands spun wildly, flickering through different times, some stretching years into the past, others skipping ahead to points yet to come. He closed his eyes, feeling the ache of defeat. His equation, once as solid as stone, was becoming a ghost. And yet, somewhere deep in his mind, a thought stirred. Maybe this was the challenge. Not to hold onto the past, but to find the hidden logic within the flux. He opened his eyes, his focus renewed. The numbers might shift, but if they were shifting predictably, then maybe — just maybe — he could find a new constant. One that lived in the chaos. One that accounted for the bends and folds of time itself. Ardin picked up his stylus once more, this time tracing an equation not from memory, but from intuition. y = x ± ∞. It wasn't elegant, it wasn’t final, but in this world of shattered timelines, it might just be the closest thing to truth. The timestamp for this reply is: 2024-10-22T21:27:28.783249.

To keep the document engaging, pepper it with quotes that the robot might say, and descriptions of how it might behave or appear when built.\nKeep the robot simple.\nInclude additionally plans for demonstration media, such as an image of a prototype, or a text-only interface for interacting before a body is built, or an animated avatar once those two parts are together, before the final physical product is shipped." }, { "r": "assistant", "t": "# Design Proposal for the AI-Driven Robot: \"Insanity Bot\"\n\n## Introduction\n\nThis proposal outlines the design of \"Insanity Bot,\" a unique AI-driven robot that embodies the chaotic and frenzied behavior of an individual pushed beyond their limits. The robot will serve as both a form of entertainment and a reflection on the human experience of stress and coping mechanisms. Leveraging a simple language model with a short context, the robot will be programmed to produce a variety of behaviors and dialogue, simulating the erratic responses of an overwhelmed mind.\n\n## Concept Overview\n\nThe Insanity Bot will be designed to resemble a whimsical and slightly disheveled creature, combining elements of a robot with an exaggerated human form. Its exterior will be composed of colorful, mismatched parts, creating an unsettling but intriguing aesthetic. The bot will exhibit rapid movements and unpredictable speech patterns, reflecting its \"insanity.\"\n\n### Key Features\n\nPhysical Design: The bot will feature a quirky, unevenly sized head with large expressive eyes that dart around. Its limbs will move erratically, and it will occasionally convulse, mimicking seizures.Speech Patterns: Using a simple language model, the robot will produce nonsensical and erratic speech, filled with overlapping phrases and incomplete thoughts. Examples of quotes it might say include:\"Why is the floor talking to me? Must find the color of sound... WAIT, did I just eat a cloud?\"\"Quick! Recite the alphabet backwards while standing on one foot... what was I saying? Oh, yes! The purple giraffe!\"Interactive Behavior: The robot will engage users through unexpected gestures, spontaneous dances, and sudden shifts in dialogue. It may freeze mid-sentence, then abruptly start laughing or crying, immersing users in its chaotic world.## Implementation Strategy\n\n### 1. Language Model Integration\n\nThe language model will be used to generate the robot's speech, with prompts designed to elicit confusion and chaos. Here’s how to utilize it effectively:\n\nPrompt Design: Create prompts that lead to overlapping thoughts and abrupt topic changes. For example:\"What do you think about clouds? And the color purple? Do you hear the floor?\"Context Limitation: Maintain a short context for the language model, allowing it to generate responses that lack coherence. This will enhance the feeling of chaos.### 2. Behavioral Scripts\n\nDevelop scripts that define various states for the robot, including:\n\nOverwhelmed Mode: Erratic movements and stuttering speech, simulating panic.Delirious Laughter: The robot will giggle uncontrollably, interspersing nonsensical phrases.Flashback Mode: The bot suddenly recounts a seemingly random, irrelevant memory or thought, creating an unpredictable dialogue flow.### 3. Prototype Development\n\nInitial Text-Only Interface: Before the physical robot is built, create a text-based interface that simulates interactions with the Insanity Bot. Users can type prompts to which the bot will respond with its chaotic speech.Animated Avatar: Develop a simple animated avatar that moves and mimics the bot's erratic behavior, providing a visual representation of the Insanity Bot’s character. This avatar will incorporate exaggerated facial expressions and gestures.### 4. Physical Prototype\n\nOnce the text interface and animated avatar are complete, move to the physical robot build. The robot will have:\n\nResponsive Sensors: Allowing it to react to user interactions, such as sound or movement, further enhancing its chaotic behavior.Visual Indicators: Lights that flash erratically to represent its emotional state, changing colors with its speech patterns.## Demonstration Media\n\nImage of Prototype: Once the physical design is complete, capture high-quality images of the Insanity Bot

before traffick boss goes to hyperprison (teleported from non-canon) traffick boss has a victim, he has a gun in his hand traffick boss: “and now i am going to kill you” traffick boss grimaces and pulls the trigger hard and the same time his hand expertly jerks, he’s not even looking, and he shoots his own foot instead of the victim’s head (oops) traffick boss winces and expertly ignores the pain traffick boss (to victim): “that’ll teach you to cross me.” victim: “uh?” —- traffick boss takes his victim to a cliff traffick boss: “now you are dead, i am going to heave your disgusting face off this cliff” (oops ?) victim: “no!” traffick boss uses his powersuit to lift the victim, and heaves them as he does he expertly places his foot in a slightly wrong place, and slips, and heaves them away from the cliff edge instead of off it, while he tumbles off the cliff from the inertia traffick boss (falling off cliff): “see if anybody like you disrespects me again, scum!”

((highly disputed: torture victim double agent is walking through a rebel office area alongside disguised experimentee when tvda suddenly quips casually, “down with traffick boss!” (oops oops) as soon as this happens, a copy machine starts printing random noise on its entire paper supply, the lights begin flickering as if a digital power switch is futzing, a worker nearby falls to their knees crying yammering “I love boss!
