Hi!
I am not really sure how to ask the question the right way, but let me
start somewhere:
I understand that an auxprop plugin retrieves a number of attributes
from a backend. One of that attributed typically is a userPassword
string IIUC.
What other attributes does Cyrus IMAPd ask off an auxp

Hello Torsten,
What do you want to achieve, what problem do you want t

Hi all!
I found that scripting sieveshell (for example, writing a bash script
which iterates over mailboxes and does something to the sieve settings)
is a bit tricky for two reasons:
1. You cannot pass the user's password on the command line.
2. You cannot pass it a command which is executed
Dear list!
I am using Cyrus IMAPd 2.2.13 on Debian Lenny. I tried to configure my
IMAPd to allow PLAIN authentication, even over non-encrypted
connections. (This is a pure Intranet deployment and I understand the risk.)
Despite setting the appropriate options in imapd.conf, i.e.:

Hello liupeng!
What exactly are you looking for? As you correctly state, Cyrus IMAPd is an
open source project, so you can just download the source code and start
developing and create patches for extra functinality, which will then be
included into the next version if the developers decide to
Hi all!
I am currently trying to make the Cyrus SASL lib 2.1.24 work on a Debian 6.0
(squeeze) system. But my milage seems quite limited.
I have done away with packaging the new version for now, so all I do is:
- Build myself a fresh chroot environment
- Install the minial packages needed to co
Debian patching. But without the support
of the people who own the thing and have write access to CVS there will be no
results possible.
Any comments anyone?

Torsten

Hi all!
I have started a PPA for the current CVS version of the Cyrus SASL 2.1.24 lib
at https://launchpad.net/~tschlabach/+archive/sasl2.
Well, not exactly current CVS, but the state as of March 24th, 2011 on the one
hand. On the other hand, there are a number of patches in my sources to make

Can you just help the rest of us understand a bit who's who in this project?
I have read Alex's name quite often, Alex are you with CMU?
trigger to jump from 1.x to 2.x?

Hi Ondřej!
There seems to be a misunderstanding.
The discussion is about the Cyrus SASL library, not about Cyrus IMAPd!

down the list of
Debian patches. I guess they have been made for a reason.
Are there any other open bugs / features / patches which would need to make it
into 2.1.24?
I think there was some MaxOS stuff ...
Is anyone keeping a list?
