Dear Mandy,

Thank you so much for your exceptionally kind words, which are so encouraging.
Towards the end of the trip the weather conditions had deteriorated a lot, sun,
rain, hail, hurricane-like winds alternated with each other hourly, which is a
challenge even for experienced motorcyclists. So it was especially valuable to
know that many members of our common "Czernowitz Family" will follow my trip
virtually. If health and politics will allow it, I will ride again and again in
or through the region, because there is still much to discover there.

My special thanks go to you, representative for all our fellow travelers!

Edgar Hauster [MacBook]

Dear Edgar

I have followed you with great interest, with joy, revelations, sometimes teary
eyed and with all my heart and many prayers for your success and safe return.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for so generously sharing this amazing
trip. I do hope to return to Czernowitz with my husband and father, soon for
another visit, during more peaceful times!

Your narrative, photos, documentaries etc are priceless and I plan to collect
all your posts and links so generously shared with us, your Czernowitz family!
and reread them and let everything sink in deeper

Thank you! Maybe our paths will allow us all to meet someday in a more peaceful
and kinder world.

With much love and gratitude,

Mandy Traineanu (nee Roll) and my father Manfred Roll (born in Czernowitz in
1928)

Czernowitzers, dear friends,

Your travel companionship on my „Journey Along the New Iron Curtain“ during the
past nearly six weeks was always inspiring and I‘d like to say a big thank you
to everyone. We have experienced a lot together and seen a lot, so it's time to
make up the balance:

http://hauster.blogspot.com/2022/06/2022-06-03-photo-finish-and-balance.html

Distance: 7,184 kilometers = 4,464 miles
Travel period: 27.04.2022 - 03.06.2022 = 38 days
Countries: 8 (A • H • RO • MD • UA • SK • PL • D)
Photos: about 2,100
Traffic tickets: none
Major problem: Putin‘s War of Aggression against Ukraine
Travel expenses: affordable
Donations: never enough
Personal meetings: numerous
Experiences: priceless
Risk of repetition: extremely high

Initially, I also wanted to travel the Baltics, but the weather conditions have
deteriorated extremely towards the end of my trip. Still, not bad I think,
especially after an involuntary break of two Corona years. Let's repeat this as
soon as possible, then hopefully again in a peaceful Europe!
