Czernowitzers, dear friends,

Roadblocks, customs checks, Russian soldiers on the territory of the Republic
of Moldova, no fake, this is reality, and this already ON THIS SEIDE of the
Dniester:

On the demarcation line, ONE lonely Moldavian soldier; 50 meters further there
were already twice as many troops, TWO Russian soldiers in full uniform, armed
and with Russian sovereignty insignia on the territory of the Republic of
Moldova...?! Unfortunately the soldiers are camera-shy, precisely their
officers, but nevertheless extremely friendly and see themselves as
peacekeepers. We all know what this peace is all about.

Back in Chișinău we take a closer look at the Jewish Cemetery, the Monument to
Ghetto Prisoners and the (remains of the) Rabbi Yehuda Leib Tsirelson Synagogue.

Enjoy, next stop: Bălți (Beltz, Mayn Shtetele Beltz)
