it seems some of recent changes to darcs brings a dependency on
System.Directory package. At least that's why compilation of
Workaround.hs fails on rtai Linux, jules apollo, zooko virtual2 WXP,

I've already needed to interrupt/kill several darcs' testsuite run
thanks to the fact they seem to never finish. That's on Solaris and
OpenBSD platforms using ghc 6.8.2+ and 6.6.1. Anyway, it seems I'm not

the speed improvements are in this release and
