Good morning community, I have been using darktable for some years and I
appreciate the cleanliness of the results and the power of the tools.
However the ability to associate and other development software.
I sequentially write some tips that could greatly improve the usability of
the software.
- Manual version 3.x
- Fujifilm files are selected without any correspondence with the jpeg
sooc, even if it was saved without special settings on the camera. Raw
Therapee, for example, does not have this type of problem, since for each
file a different ad-hoc tonal curve is applied, which uniforms the open
file to the jpeg (sooc) obviously this equalization can be disabled in
order to obtain a raw file "clean" "not processed"
Other software (such as Lightroom C01 or ON1, for example, read the
metadata present in the .raf file and reproduce the file almost exactly
compared to the jpeg sooc already in the opening phase using the "AUTO"
mode.

-Module "basic settings" and "shadows highlights" at the programming level
makes sense, but a development level is senseless to have 2 distinct
modules, and they are unified.
- The development modules are classified according to a logical programming
order, not to photographic editing, it would be interesting if they could
be floating, so that they could be reorganized according to their work
logic, at least when it comes to a defined workflow the user, this without
modifying the logical approach for which the modules are coincepiti.
- For the anchor module, it would be useful to generate a popup with the
"mouse over" preview, which shows the preview of the photo you are working
on with a preview of the set of settings that you intend to use with that
specific preset.

-The "clone" tool should be extended with the possibility of integrating
something similar to the "patch" or "patch" tools of other software, that
is, which recognize and mask.
Automatically replace the area drawn according to a point or path with
adjacent areas.
The retouching tools currently present in darktable are very effective, but
impractical and therefore not suitable for use at speed.
-An instrument that samples and replaces the identified color with the
dropper should be inserted.
This tool should have the possibility to manage aspects such as
"intervention amplitude, saturation, brightness".
This color tool would be more practical to be able to manage it with color
wheels to identify the width and with slides to change the parameters.
Something similar to what Capture One does.

I repeat mine are suggestions to develop a software that I already consider
very valid and I would like it to be extended to become one of the best, I
thank the community for the wonderful work it is doing.
