Good morning,
it would be very useful to extend conceptually the use of Darktable in the
application of styles, let me explain myself better ...
There are conceptually 2 types of image processing software, namely:
- The software that, starting from a preset and modifying a cursor,
displays the result, and in that case the only cursor initially available
increases the power of the effect (internally varying all the parameters in
the filter and leaving the user to manage that 'single cursor then save in
detail to change the individual parameters that define the effect.
- The software (as well as darktable) that foresee starting from the
modification of the single parameters of an effect except for the
possibility of saving it as a preset or style, and then being able to reuse
it later for future applications.

It would be interesting to make a mix or to foresee the possibility of
displaying a pop-up preview of the photo being worked on with the style you
want to apply, simply passing above with the mouse pointer, if there was
also the slider for adjusting the global power of the stule would be great,
but I realize that being darktable responding to the second type of
software this is difficult to achieve since it would foresee a programming
of the management of multiple parameters related to the style set by the
user, in a completely arbitrary way.

Thanks for the attention.
