I commented on your PR regarding suggestion for the functionality you tried
to develop.
As fro testing env - I think it's some problem with msys2. Other PRs and
master are failing to build with same problem.
It should be "temporary" and needing only re-kick of CI. If it bothers you

I just made a pull-request for a contribution to darktable. Just a few
small changes in one file (disk.c).
The linux and macos-tests went all well, but not so on Win64.
