Switching to black/white also gives me a totally white image.

The Indicator apparently signals any r, g or b element that reaches or
approaches the 255 level. This gives a false impression when one works
in B/W where I would be more interested to find levels approaching or at
L=100.
Would it be practical to have a switch on the indicator for a rgb-to-L
