[darktable-user] Anyone know where to find a cie/it8 file for the Color Checker Passport?

2018-02-27 Thread Robert Bieber
I'm curious if anyone's had any luck building a profile with dt-chart
using a cie/it8 file for the second step in the process. I've gotten it
to work successfully by using the chart file that ships with Argyll, but
if I try to use the corresponding cie file for the next step, I get an
error message "error with the IT8 file, can't find the SAMPLE_ID column."

I'm guessing that even though the option says cie/it8 file, maybe only
it8 files are well supported?  Or maybe the one that Argyll ships with
is just malformed.  Does anyone have an idea where I might find a usable
it8 file for the ColorChecker passport?  This seems like something that
should be prominently published by the manufacturer, but the only place
I was able to find cht and cie files at all was in the Argyll distribution

Thanks,
Robby

Re: [darktable-user] Heavily disappointed about openCL with my GTX1050Ti

2018-02-27 Thread Bernhard
First of all: I just wanted to tell people about the (possible) solution
of that ERR! message.
Second: After your advice to the out-of-resource I changed
opencl_memory_headroom to 500, later I found this article
https://www.darktable.org/2012/03/darktable-and-opencl/ by using the
search for that parameter on your website - now I understand the background.
Third: For some other reasons I reinstalled my system and now the base
is a brand new LinuxMint 18.3 - so I am back with the standard nvidia

That sounds as if 7b34b62e02a9d9827c73a8760c5d493c58669a47 was to blame.
Unfortunately I don't have any input devices that emit smooth scroll events.
Maybe Dan Torop is reading here and can comment?
