Hi All, I am trying to optimize the core options for my system. It is an 8 year old laptop with 8Gig RAM and 500 GB SSD. GeForce GT 525M/PCIe/SSE2 (apparently too slow). Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz × 8 (sandy bridge 4 cores 8 threads if I am not mistaken). Ubuntu 16.04 / DT 2.6.2

Hi Bruce, Looking at the snippet of log here it would seem that there are issues with the Rawspeed module. This 'sub-module' needs to be initialized after updating from GIT but before running the build.sh script. This is documented somewhere but I can't put my finger on it at present. These

If you need some package (such as libjpeg) to compile a source (such as darktable), then you need to install the respective "developer" version of libjpeg. I.e. the headers of the library which darktable requires. A quick search on [1] (not sure if your system uses Debian though) reveals that for
