Re: [darktable-user] DT can't access files on external hdd with special software
I am glad it is fixed. It just reminds me of why I am allergic to Mac computers and hate being under the control of Microsoft with Windows computers. I am switching my Windows 7 computers to LINUX Mint and am very happy with what I am seeing. I am stuck with Windows for work computers, because that is what they dictate. RE: [darktable-user] DT can't access files on external hdd with special software
Tnx guys... I don’t know what ‘recursive directory’ means, but I already tried to tick and untick the box. It didn’t help. The software that I bought should make it possible to read the ntfs-formatted disk (wich is possible outside of dt). I don’t know why dt doesn’t support that too. Looks like the files are not fully imported but simply sitting in the directory! Hi All, I can not comment on specific MAC computers as I claim to be allergic to them, but I teach DT to students and many students have MAC computers and DT works fine on them. I am yet to have a student who could not get DT working on the MAC. In order to get dt to work on M1 Macs, a developer has to have access to one of those machines, and be willing to make the effort to port dt to it. Apple is particularly unpleasant for this, as programs need to be signed and notarised by Apple, which requires at least one of the developers to register for 100$/year.
