Hey List,
I'm using Darktable 4.0.0. When I export my images the EXIF information isn't
in them any more...is there an option somewhere to turn this back on? I can't
seem to find it.
Thanks

Hi,
In my opinion, appImage are handy to test some applications.
But I think it can be a bit weird on a system if you install many
applications this way.
The correct way to manage a system is to use the packages of the
distribution.
And, if you have the skills, to build yourself packages from sour
I was not aware of the .appImage
system... thank you!

Hi Jean Luc,
yes I confirm you can use Digikam with any DE if you install all the
dependencies.
I listed applications per DE because I supposed this could be more clear.
Thank you for your kind clarification.

Hi,
There is no NEED for KDE to use digikam. So libs probably as the
dependancies. But the desktop manager itself is not needed. I'm a gnome
user and I've installed digikam...

Ciao Gianluca,
if you are a Linux user and have KDE installed you can use Digikam as Photo
Management Software and darktable only for the RAWs development.
You can call darktable from within Digikam.
If you are a Gnome (or derivated) user I think you can use Shotwell or
gThumb.
For Mac ??
thanks Maurizio,
I think writing a Lua module is beyond my capabilities, but never say

Ciao Gianluca,
you can see some EXIF data in the left panel of the light table.
This panel is not configurable (you cannot show/hide information you need).
If you need to read more EXIF data you could write a Lua module.

with exiftool, I can retrieve a lot more information than what is shown
in the Image Information tab.
Is there a way to see them all?
Thanks for reading,
