I have GTX 1060, drivers from source, then installed cuda-toolkit but still
noc opencl in DT.
komodo@debian:/$ darktable -d opencl
[opencl_init] opencl related configuration options:

[opencl_init]
In Fedora, I have to install the:
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-cuda
package from RPM Fusion to get OpenCL working. Is that what you mean by
the cuda-toolkit?

Have you tried backports? 375.26 is backported to Debian Jessie.
Another possibility would be to upgrade to Debian Stretch. Yes, still
testing, but three weeks from deep
