Hello,
I am in the same case with my canon Pixma 4950 : Turboprint is the only way to
get correct printouts.
With this model (or brand... I don't remember whether it is related to the
model or the brand itself), trying
to print the usual way would produce awful results, far worse than what
+1
I reported this as a bug some times ago, and was replied it is intentional.
But I'd really rather have it behave the opposite.

Hello,
Just one thing that puzzles me : Nikon ViewNX2 generates a profile for each
picture it processes, so each
profile is based upon the parameters of this picture.
That would mean that, for each picture, one would have to use the corresponding
imported profile, else one
might get even

Hello,
Within the lighttable, expand the Collection filters tab, then select Color
label, select the color to exclude and then the operator Exclude pictures.
Repeat this for every color you want to exclude.
Then, for each roll you want to see the pictures, select Roll, select the roll

Hello,
Well, what exactly do you intend to do ?
1- Just display the ones that don't have colour label, or
2- Move the ones with no colour label to another place ?

Hello,
I rencently wanted to merge some settings to a binch of photos.
I set everything to the first one, adjusted to fit my taste, then copy the
selected values, and finally pasted those same values to over 1200 photos.
At this time, I realized that I had left the parmeter set to overwrite

For what I know, camera manufacturers tend to add some (useless) processing to

Hello,
How can one remove more than one picture from the map at once ? I recently had
to remove ~500 pictures one by one after I accidentally moved them on to the
map.
Is it possible to paste the location of a photo to one or more others at once ?

Maybe because the effect produced by the module affects the final result,
whatever the values are set to.
Setting them to "zero" will enhance the result in a neutral way, which does not
mean "with no effect".
Moving the sliders will then increase or decrease the initial effect.

Hello,
One thing I don't understand : why do you want DT to directly access the photos
from the card ?
Why don't you transfer the files to a HD and, then, import them in DT and
process them from there ?

I am looking for the best way to remove red-eyes effect on post-proccessing.
Which method is the best on DT ?
I mainly use the mixer or the monochrom modules, according to the tint of the
eyes, but the results are not always good.

To sum up, if I understand correctly, there are many ways to deal with red

Hello all,
After many years using DT, there is still something that bothers me : some of

I am pointing there Sharpen and Basecurve, that I consider a nuisance as I

Hello,
I recently bought a D4s which, so far, I can't use with DT.
The main reasons are that :
1) DT either states that it can't read the profiles that I extracted using

2) for the ones it accepts to read, the colours are awful (yellow-green, for

According to google :
«Le terme vibrance est un néologisme. Il permet de décrire ce qui est vibrant,
ce qui fait vibrer. Il est beaucoup utilisé en photographie. En effet, la
vibrance correspond à l'amplification (ou non) des couleurs les moins saturées.»

Hello,
DT 2.4.2 / Ubuntu 16.04 / Dell E5530 / i3110 2.4 GHz.
I have some photos that were taken with another camera, which time was a few
wminutes away from the actual one.
I used the geotagging module to correct it, but I can't remember the value.
I thought I could retrieve this clicking on
16m20s since I clicked the magnifier, DT is still frozen.
Ok, my computer is rather old, but just retrieving an information - that, BTW,
it doesn't anyway - and ?

I didn't know that one !
Hello,
Merry Eastern to everyone.
I am just trying to understand where and how DT retrieves data from the exifs.
After reading the thread, I did a exiv2 -v ad -a -1:00:00 Test.nef.
The photo named Test.nef is one with no importance, so no matter what could
happen to it.

Hello,
I don't understand why there are still people complaing about that.
Every year, we can enjoy this bonus that the team offers us, and every year
people complain about it.
Cool, guys ! enjoy ! this only happens one time a year, and it reminds us of
our youth, when we spent time

Hello,
Why not clone your photo as many times as you want test styles on, then apply a
style on each instance of the photo and finally compare from into the darkroom ?

Hello,
I'm quite sure I read something about it formerly, but I couldn't find the
thread among the many I explored until may of this year. Then I gave up, and
because my isp's search engine crashes, here I am.
What date was this discussed at ? Who was the author ?
