I'm not insulted easily ;) and please call me stupid when I forget some
important part of a tool, and thanks for the opacity option. Never
really thought of that because I assume(d) that this has the same effect
as adding less or more sharpening ussing the 'amount' slider.

Gimp is an option, but not when using DT as the tool to edit, manage and
exports lots of images. But I do use Gimp from time to time to adjust
brightness and shadows using the dodge and burn tool, which makes
working with images much more intuitive than the slow and rather
'technical' way of
No comparisons, I never saved those images. I was just curious about how
others find the sharpening results and their way of doing it.

I don't know if it's the correct/usual work flow, but I never sharpen in
DT, because I don't know yet the destination of the image.
So I save the image full size without sharpening.
If am scaling the image for the web, or using all/some pixels in a
large/small print, it will need a
