Maybe a related prob I noticed with 0515110 that after expanding the
"more modules" menu in darkroom view, the only way to scroll the list is
with the mouse wheel. Is this intentional?

Just to follow-up.
This did pop up in irc a few times.
I do not think this behavior is intentional.
This (and sidepanel scroll) need to be re-done after 2.2

2016-11-24 Thread Jean-Luc CECCOLI
Well, though I only use few shortcuts, I can't imagine having to change all of
them just not to experience, for instance, unwanted erasing of a bunch of
photos.

And, yes, I could check that this happens when the cursor is not active in the
text field when typing, which is often the case when one selects an entry and
whish to overwrite it : then, the text is shown as selected but the cursor is
not active, so any typing will be ignored as text entry - but unfortunately not
as a shortcut command.

2016-11-23 Thread thokster

Hi,

I know this behavior very well. It is very annoying, e.g. hundreds of
already rated photos were rejected because of a tagging action.

Are you sure thats a kind misinterpretation of the keystrokes?

I guess it's just very easy to loose focus of the tag/metadata fields in
lighttable mode.
You just have to move your mouse a little bit and every keystroke will
interpreted as a shortcut.

Hello,

I had previously been wondering how I could end up with photos marked as
rejected without having done anything to.

I discovered that sometimes, filling the fields into Metadata editor or
Keywords, DT sees them as shortcuts and acts as such.

Seeing the screen suddenly full sized, or switch to tethering, aso when
just tagging photos is really annoying.

Besides this, according to the help-text about TAB shortcut, it ought to
switch between full screen and normal view but, in fact, it just doesn't
allow to go back to normal view, and I have to use the mouse to re-open
the pannels.

It finally took to me 30 minutes to achieve a 10 minutes work.

I know 2.0.6 will soon be replaced, but I thought it would be important
to report this.

I will be very carefull when next stable is released, and if it behaves
the same I'll report on redmine.

I personnally noticed when setting the size of to be exported JPEG that :
- i was not able to enter the size if the mouse was not on the export
module frame.

So it seams that effect of keyboard inputs is mouse focus dependant. But I
don't know if it is the expected behaviour.

Have you tried to type in your fields with and without the mouse on the
field/module frame ?

(I bet that in the name of your son's friends, there are some "r" and that
your mouse was focused on light-table when you typed the names)

Thomas
