Hi Folks, We got in touch with the City Data Officer of Pune who heads the Pune Open Data Portal recently (thanks Chiranjay for setting us up), and have set up some collaborations. Pune Open Data Portal can have events like hackathons organized (not the 1st prize contest types, rather, events with a pre-set focused and achievable task and people making something together), if Datameet can provide the technical support and facilitation.
To start off, next weekend we're doing a "Business Intelligence Hackathon" with students in a course at SICSR Pune. *See details here <https://github.com/datameet-pune/datameet-pune.github.io/issues/18>*. For this one we need to get together a team of people who work in this field, have experience with BI tools etc and, this is important : who will be able to spare time to come and attend the event and work on evaluating the outputs to publish on the Pune Open Data Portal.
