Hi, This is probably a stupid question but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. So I've compiled and installed everything and it seems to be fine. I grabbed the search.cgi file from /usr/local/dpsearch/bin and put it in my cgi-bin folder. I know the folder is accessible because I can access other files/pages in that folder from a browser. I checked and made sure that search.cgi had read and execute access for everyone. I know that search.cgi should work because when I run it from the command line it outputs the html to the screen. However, when I try to access the page from a browser I get a 500 Internal Server Error. I checked the apache error log and it says the error was a "Premature end of script errors". I'm guessing this would be a problem with the script not having access to certain resources. I checked the dpsearch directory in /usr/local/dpsearch and it seems that all the folders have the read and execute bits set for all. I wasn't able to get an index to run (I checked and the tables have been created with -Ecreate though) but I don't think that should have anything to do with this accessing problem. I'm using MySQL as the database and the search.htm in /usr/local/dpsearch/etc has read access for everyone. Am I just missing something simple? Thanks in advance. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Read the full topic here: http://www.dataparksearch.org/cgi-bin/simpleforum.cgi?fid=02;post=
