The QA Engineer work as part of the QA team to provide quality testing of various online and backend systems. The QA Engineer is expected to have a good understanding of testing methods and be able to positively interact with other company areas including Development, Interoperability and Client Services. Responsibilities: . Responsible for working in an open, collaborative environment where communications are concise and transparent and relevant to the company achieving its strategy and goals . Exhibit a sense of urgency regarding the corporate goals of the organization. Looks for critical opportunities and hazards now. Relentlessly communicate vision and strategies to accomplish corporate goals. Is not complacent and does not demonstrate a false sense of urgency (anxious, angry, frustrated or tired) . Write and maintain test plans and test cases to verify enterprise level, web-based applications . Develop, design, plan, and script testing scenarios that provide feature and regression testing for all company products slated for release into a production environment . Ability to handle multiple project and product line testing during a normal work week . Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle in a "Software as a Service" (SaaS) environment . Ability to work in an agile development environment using your experience and skills with formal testing methodologies . Ability to effectively communicate, document, and validate software defects across departments . Participate in project meetings and use influence, analytical and problem solving skills to contribute to the quality of the product Skills, Education and Experience: . Strong teamwork capabilities including the ability to effectively work with leadership, peers and other internal and external individuals through projects, making sure project deadlines are met and projects enhance the goals and strategic direction of the company . Ability to effectively work with peers and lead staff through projects, making sure project deadlines are met . Degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience . Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies . Strong written and oral communication skills . Must work well independently and work in a matrix based organization with minimal supervision . Must be able to handle multiple projects and be able to adapt to changes in priority . Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and SNIP testing requirements . Minimum 4 years of Quality Assurance experience or equivalent experience . Must have experience testing web-based, client facing applications and verification of the end-to-end system . Must have experience testing Internet technologies including HTTP, HTTPS and TCP/IP . Thorough knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures . Experience writing and executing test plans and test cases and working with defect-tracking databases .
