Synchronisity is a funny thing... I signed the contract for the 2nd edition today.
Jeff Zucker, of DBD::AnyData and SQL::Statement fame, will be co-authoring this edition with me.
Maybe, just maybe, it'll be available by next OSCON...
On an almost (but not quite) completely unrelated subject, last night I wrote myself some notes to ask about why the database integrity scheme described by C J Date includes domains, attributes, tables and databases but not tuples. Later in the evening, I look at the Database Debunkings web site (http://www.dbdebunk.com) and find that there's some new material, including "On R-Table Single-Row Constraints and Data Types" which covers exactly this question.
