I would join you if I had time, but I can recommend the path to Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu going through Chambly. Once you are out of the city the path is quite nice and you can stop at Chambly for some sight-seeing. The fort there is one of the oldest in North America. If you want to stop and eat
