Since I'm staying in Taiwan for a while, I bought a bike in Carrefour (a large super marker chain) for 3200 $NTD (90 EUR). Came with a 1 year warranty and a lock! I guess that's also a reasonable alternative to renting a bike for two weeks. It might even be cheaper to buy one instead of renting
