the user just reported that he found by accident the BRLTTY help mode which gave
him the commands he needed. The installation was then possible.

Hello,
in the current [wheezy] installer, the modemmanager (in the network
configuration screen) kills the connection to a serial braille display
controlled by BRLTTY. I know that the problem is known, but there is not yet a
fix, except for restarting BRLTTY, not really suitable for new users
