your issue may not be a CUDA issue, but rather a NAMD.
CUDA debian packages are fine.
You may look in this directory, in particular for installing NAMD success story
on Debian
and for some deb ball written by some folks.

Not the IA64. IA64 = itanium.
em64t would be equivelant to amd64. Perhaps that's what intel 64 means.

I have install `autolog' on quad dual core box (amd64 etch).
It seems lost: the time parameters in the autolog.conf file
are no take into account.
I will migrate to `timeoud' soon.
Has anyone observed such behaviour ?

figure out the hostid of the computer:
lmhostid gist an empty string ().

compiz can be used as a replacmeent of sawfish/metacity
sawfish is launched (defaults instalation)
So you have to *replace* the running window manage.
