That shouldn't cause problems. In fact I saw a kernel package
maintainer ask someone to do that to test if a bug in 2.6.24 was still
in 2.6.25 and said it should install perfectly on lenny.
I'm using 2.6.25 pristine in lenny, no software or hardware issues until the
moment.

2.6.25 has produced unbootable machines for me on both amd64 sid boxes
I've tried. In both cases, the solution involved changing
MODULES=most to
MODULES=dep in /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf (and rerunning
update-initramfs -u -k 2.6.25-2-amd64 or similar) but it didn't work
out of the box. I
