Hello, I would do a manual debootstrap/mmdebstrap installation. Partition manual the efi Partition and rootfs. If you add EFI/boot/bootaarch64.efi to the efi Partition it should be the fallback if every UEFI implementation. Thus way you don't need to write to the UEFI variables. Best regards
