I'm currently translating the boot-floppies into Galician, and I found that
the file 'boot-floppies/scripts/rescue/messages/C/f5.txt' (and its
translations) lacks all ^O characters. You can hit me if it's intentional,
but I'd bet it isn't ;-)
Is it? :-)

Dan, let me know when you have all the Potato source in good shape.
At that point we can burn the new version, I can do a source upload
and i386 binary version.
I already have the hdg/hdh bug fix in CVS which I think makes it
worthy of potato update.

Anyhow, this does highlight that we need to cope with errors and

that has well defined exit codes (archive not found, out of memory,

If you all on the debian-cd list could prioritize the issues which are
preventing debootstrap from working (the one I know about is the
dists/woody/Release file) that would be great. Right now I can't do
testing using woody CDs.

Possible interactions are:

Yes, with some well defined exit codes so we can take appropriate
action in dbootstrap if possible.

Howdy,
You reported that the Debian installer ignored the port you gave
it when it attempted to download the base system. I was wondering
how you specified the alternate port. There are three inputs on
the screen that you are refering to: a Download URL, a Proxy, and
a Port. Did you enter the

Howdy,
This bug laments that dbootstrap presents the boot partition,
rather than the root partition, as the location for installing
LILO if they are different. I tried this on my machine, and LILO
was able to boot from this setup just fine. So I think this bug
report should be closed.

This is true, but your point is unclear to
We currently don't have any way of installing woody over ppp. Is this something
we want to include? ppp support will be fairly large, so maybe we would want to
include it on a separate disk?
