rootdisk.sh already exports ldlib (defined per arch), so we can just use
this variable.

I've got a question: I want to install Woody (which I have on cdrom)
on a 486 with a 3 1/2 - drive and a cdrom-drive, but without the
ability to boot from cdrom. The problem is, the box has only 8 megs
of ram, which - according to the help texts of the installer on the
cdroms is not enough
I'm trying to make some custom boot floppies for Woody with xfs support
and have managed to hack the package enough to make it work with one
exception. When the installation reaches the point of installing the
base system it gets hung up on the installation of the pcmcia-cs package.
It can't
Hi,
Booting the installation CD (non-US) of debian 2.2 r3 fails on my
spare machine (AMD K6-2, 500MHz, IDE-only machine with 2 hard disks,
128 M RAM, ATAPI IDE DVD cdrom drive). The kernel looks for scsi
devices that are not present (as far as I can tell, and that it
cannot find) and hangs on

Hello,
I'm as usual tempted to test the boot floppies but to be honest
getting floppy images, dding (very slow). Booting with
floppies (slow) is just too time consuming with limited time
for a test.
On the other hand if there would be a mini ISO image with content of

Hi,
On hppa and ia64, I see the cursor flashing on most (but not all)
screens during first stage install - e.g on the main menu, and on
the end of the progress bar. I think the cursor used to be
switched off except for input dialogs. Are other archs seeing this
too - or has it always been the
