I tried compiling Danish-only b-f for i386. It seems that the problem with
chopped strings persist. (Strings are choped whenever a foreign letter is
reached, so e.g. Installr moduler til PCMCIA becomes just Install).
I assume this is true for other languages too (as it was a month ago).

i have a question/suggestion regarding modconf: if rmmod fails for a
module, then you can't even specify that you don't want the module loaded
at next bootup. so perhaps the script could ask whether you'd at least
want to remove the module from the config file or not.

Just copypasted to feed sprintf with the same arguments. But forget it,
I made another workaround to replace msdos with vfat if supported. This
is untested, but should work. I will test later.
